Yeah but he doesnt turn into that thou? Because they stopped the blast didnt they? So technically he doesnt go down that root! But also another theory is of corse he will stay same age when he goes back and forth and doesnt seem to change. The reason for this is if he did change age when he went forward then technically if he went back before he was born he wouldnt exist therefor would be unable to travel back in time right????
For time travel to be possible you / machine would have to stay the same time, but everything around you would need to change, so you would have to be in some sort of time bubble. else youd go so far back that the machine wouldnt be invented or yourself?
This could be answer to going back in time not possible, but only going forward
